Showcasing the Architects Benevolent Society’s Mission and Impact

The Architects Benevolent Society (ABS) has been a vital source of support for individuals in the architectural community. I had the privilege of working with ABS to document their incredible work, creating visuals and storytelling that amplified their message and highlighted the positive impact they’ve had on people’s lives.

Founded over 170 years ago, ABS is committed to helping architectural professionals and their families through financial aid, emotional support, and practical advice. Their work builds a sense of community and compassion in times of need.

The Challenge 

ABS needed a way to connect more personally with their audience and achieve several goals:

    •    Showcase the breadth of their services.

    •    Humanize their work by sharing real stories of those they’ve helped.

    •    Inspire action, whether through donations, volunteering, or seeking assistance.

Storytelling Through VISUALS

I focused on the people behind ABS’s work and those they’ve supported. This included:

    •    Interviewing individuals who have benefited from ABS’s services to capture their personal stories.

    •    Highlighting the society’s community-focused initiatives, showing the real-world impact of their efforts.

 

Professional and Relatable Imagery:

I created visuals that balanced professionalism with warmth, ensuring the content felt approachable yet aligned with the architectural industry’s aesthetic. This included:

    •    Candid shots of ABS events and volunteer activities.

    •    Clean, polished imagery that reflected the society’s ethos of care and professionalism.

 

Focused Messaging:

Through my content, I aimed to emphasize key themes of support, empowerment, and community, while ensuring the messaging was authentic and relatable.

gREATER AWARENESS AND ENGAGEMENT 

The visuals and storytelling resonated with ABS’s audience, resulting in increased online engagement and deeper connections with their supporters.

Positive Feedback

The stories and imagery received heartfelt responses, including:

    •    “I didn’t realize how much ABS does until I saw these stories—it’s incredible work!”

Increased ACTION

ABS saw a noticeable increase in both inquiries for assistance and interest from potential donors and volunteers.
